Ingredients:
- 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled (you can use regular or decaffeinated)
- 1-2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup milk (whole milk, skim milk, or a dairy-free alternative like almond or soy milk)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)
- Chocolate syrup or cocoa powder (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Brew and Cool the Coffee:
- Brew a strong cup of coffee using your preferred method (drip, French press, or instant). If you prefer a milder flavor, you can use decaffeinated coffee. Allow the coffee to cool to room temperature, and then refrigerate it until cold. You can also speed up the cooling process by placing it in the freezer for a short time.
2. Sweeten the Coffee:
- In a separate bowl, mix the sugar into the cooled coffee, adjusting the amount to suit your taste. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
3. Add Milk:
- Pour the milk into the sweetened coffee and stir to combine. Adjust the milk quantity according to your preference for creaminess.
4. Prepare the Ice:
- Place the ice cubes in a blender. You can add more or fewer ice cubes depending on how icy you want your cold coffee to be.
5. Blend:
- Pour the sweetened coffee and milk mixture over the ice cubes in the blender.
6. Blend Until Smooth:
- Blend everything together until you achieve a smooth and frothy consistency.
7. Serve:
- Pour your freshly blended cold coffee into a glass.
- If desired, garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
8. Enjoy:
- Use a straw or a long spoon to mix the whipped cream into the cold coffee.
- Sip and enjoy your homemade cold coffee.
Feel free to customize your cold coffee by adding flavored syrups, a scoop of ice cream, or a dash of cinnamon for extra flavor. Cold coffee can be made to suit your taste preferences, from sweet and creamy to strong and bold.
