Peter Rabbit lives with his mother and siblings under a fir tree in the countryside. Mrs. Rabbit warns her children not to go into Mr. McGregor's garden, as their father had an unfortunate encounter with Mr. McGregor and ended up in a pie. While his siblings obediently stay home, Peter sneaks into the garden, despite the danger.
Once in the garden, Peter indulges in the delicious vegetables, including lettuce, French beans, and radishes. However, he soon realizes that he's being chased by Mr. McGregor, who is determined to catch the naughty rabbit for his supper.
Peter narrowly escapes, losing his jacket and shoes in the process. Exhausted and frightened, he returns home to his mother, who puts him to bed with a dose of chamomile tea. Mrs. Rabbit scolds Peter for his disobedience and warns him that he could have been put in a pie just like his father.
"The Tale of Peter Rabbit" teaches children about the consequences of disobedience and the importance of listening to parental guidance. With its charming illustrations and timeless moral lessons, this classic story continues to delight readers of all ages.
