Paneer Chilli Dry:

Ingredients:

  • 250g paneer (cottage cheese), cut into cubes
  • 1 large bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup cornflour
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the paneer cubes with cornflour, a pinch of salt, and a little water to make a thick batter.

  2. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Fry the paneer cubes until they turn golden brown. Remove and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

  3. In another pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until fragrant.

  4. Add sliced onions, green chilies, and bell peppers. Stir-fry on high heat until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.

  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, sugar, black pepper powder, and a pinch of salt.

  6. Add the sauce mixture to the vegetables and stir well.

  7. Add the fried paneer cubes and toss everything together, ensuring the paneer is well coated with the sauce.

  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.

  9. Garnish with chopped spring onions or coriander leaves.
