Paneer Chilli Dry:
Ingredients:
- 250g paneer (cottage cheese), cut into cubes
- 1 large bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
-
In a bowl, mix the paneer cubes with cornflour, a pinch of salt, and a little water to make a thick batter.
-
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Fry the paneer cubes until they turn golden brown. Remove and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
-
In another pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until fragrant.
-
Add sliced onions, green chilies, and bell peppers. Stir-fry on high heat until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
-
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, sugar, black pepper powder, and a pinch of salt.
-
Add the sauce mixture to the vegetables and stir well.
-
Add the fried paneer cubes and toss everything together, ensuring the paneer is well coated with the sauce.
-
Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
-
Garnish with chopped spring onions or coriander leaves.
