Once upon a time in the peaceful Dino Valley, there lived a little dinosaur named Dino. He was cheerful, playful, and full of questions. But today wasn’t just any day—it was Dino’s very first day of school!

Dino put on his bright red backpack, packed with his favorite crayons and a yummy leaf sandwich. But as he walked toward the big yellow school building, his feet felt heavy and his tail drooped.

"What if I don’t make any friends?" he whispered to himself. "What if I can’t find my classroom?"

As he reached the school gate, Dino stopped. He looked back at his home. Just then, his mom knelt beside him, smiled warmly, and said,
“Being brave doesn’t mean not being scared. It means going forward even when you are.”

That gave Dino a little courage.

He walked in slowly. The school was buzzing with chatter, laughter, and tiny dino feet running everywhere. He found his classroom and saw a big, smiling dinosaur teacher named Mrs. Steggy.

“Welcome, Dino!” she said. “We’ve been waiting for you!”

Dino’s eyes lit up. A friendly triceratops named Trixie waved at him, “Come sit next to me!”

By lunchtime, Dino had learned a song, painted a picture of a volcano, and made two new friends.
He laughed, he played, and he forgot all about being scared.

That night, as he lay in bed, he told his mom,
“School isn’t scary—it’s kind of amazing!”

And from that day on, Dino knew that courage was just taking that first step—even with a nervous heart.
